When you subscribe to a rental plan, you'll get either a brand-new e-bike or one in like-new condition, depending on what's available.

You can park your e-bike anywhere safe, as long as it doesn’t block pedestrian or vehicle traffic. Use bike stands, and always remove the battery and lock the bike—both are included in your rental plan. For extra security, don’t leave the e-bike unattended for long periods, especially overnight.

Treat the e-bike as if it were your own and follow all safety measures. If it gets stolen, contact our customer support right away. They will provide its location so you can try to find it yourself. If you’re unable to locate it, we’ll send a team to search for it. We also recommend filing a police report. To reduce your financial responsibility, consider getting our e-bike Protection Plan.

We handle all maintenance and mechanical issues arising from proper use of the e-bike. If the bike breaks down due to improper or negligent use, you'll be responsible for the repair costs proportional to the damage caused. Normal wear and tear is covered under your rental plan. Specific damage fee amounts can be found in the agreement. To reduce potential costs, consider opting for our e-bike Protection Plan.

Yes, we offer a Protection Plan as part of your rental for $29 + tax. This plan partially covers your financial liability for damages and mechanical issues caused by negligence during the rental period. It also reduces your financial responsibility in the event of theft by third parties. For more details on what's covered, please refer to the E-bike Subscription Agreement.

You have 24 hours to return the e-bike once your rental period ends. Failure to do so within this time frame will result in daily penalties.

You can pay for your rental using a credit or debit card issued in your name. We don't accept cash, checks, or prepaid cards.

Please note that your rental plan will renew automatically, and the fee for the next month will be charged if you don't cancel beforehand.

You can pick up your e-bike at one of our offices in New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Washington, DC, Chicago, and San Francisco or you can opt for door-to-door delivery for $35 in New York and New Jersey.

Please return the e-bike, along with all additional equipment and any other items rented from us, to one of our locations within 24 hours after your rental plan ends.

Upon return, our representative will inspect the e-bike and additional equipment for damages beyond normal wear and tear. You'll then sign a Return Form to complete the process.

For the Rent-to-Own program, you can return your bike at any time before paying the buyout fee, but the down payment is non-refundable.

Returns are not available for used bikes.

You rent an e-bike and make a $99 down payment with your first monthly payment. You can return the e-bike at any time, but the down payment is non-refundable. The Rent-to-Own program lasts for 12 months. After completing the 12-month rental, if you decide to buy the e-bike, you will need to make a $99 buyout payment.

The Rent-to-Own program is available to individuals 18 years and older who can provide the required documents:

• A US-issued ID
• A debit/credit card in your name (cash/prepaid cards are not accepted)

Yes, you can — but only using a Whizz-provided charger. For safety and battery health, please do not use third-party chargers.

Charging takes 2–3 hours to reach a full level. But you don’t have to wait — just swap and go!

The swapped battery does not need to be returned the same day. You can continue riding and use it safely until your next swap, based on your schedule and riding needs.

Battery Swapping is available as an add-on for just $49/month, billed together with your monthly bike rental.

At this time, you can subscribe to Battery Swapping by visiting our Union shop, located at: 229 West 13th St (hours: Mon-Fri 9am-7pm, Sat-Sun 11am-5pm), and Brooklyn shop, located at: 745 Flushing Ave (hours: Mon-Fri 10am-6pm, Sat-Sun 11am-5pm).

Battery Swapping is currently available for Storm 2 e-bikes. To use the service, you must have an active Rent subscription with the Battery Swapping add-on, along with the compatible battery provided at sign-up.

Yes, absolutely. You can swap your battery as many times as needed, depending on your riding needs. The service is designed to keep you going without interruption.

You’ll find a new "Battery Swapping" section in Whizz personal account or Whizz app. From there, you can locate nearby cabinets and manage your swaps quickly and easily.
