Why this role matters

Whizz is a fast-growing delivery service company in NYC, and we are looking for responsible and reliable Delivery Drivers with their own 24–26 ft box truck (Freightliner, Isuzu, Hino) to join our team on a contract basis. As a Whizz Delivery Driver, you play a crucial role in the timely and safe delivery of packages and goods to our customers across the NYC boroughs.

What you’ll do

  • Start from our NJ warehouse (07304) and deliver to all NYC boroughs.
  • Deliver packages and goods using your own 24–26 ft box truck (Freightliner, Isuzu, Hino).
  • Occasionally drive to other locations, such as Philadelphia or Washington, D.C.
  • Adhere to delivery schedules and complete deliveries within the allotted time frame.
  • Ensure the safety and security of packages and goods during transportation.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures when required.
  • Communicate effectively with the dispatch team to provide updates on delivery status.

What you’ll need

Required

  • Own a 24–26 ft box truck (Freightliner, Isuzu, Hino) — cargo vans and small delivery vehicles are not considered.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • 5+ years of experience in delivery or logistics.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) as required.
  • Knowledge of the NYC boroughs and ability to navigate efficiently.
  • Strong time management, communication skills, and a customer service mindset.

What Whizz offers

Pay

$300 per day.

Flexible schedule

2–3 or 3–5 days per week — you choose the load.

1099 contract

Independent contractor agreement with your own truck.

Steady routes

Daily runs from our NJ warehouse to the NYC boroughs, with occasional trips to Philadelphia or D.C.
