You rent an e-bike, make 12 monthly payments, and then you can buy out your e-bike for $99. For weekly plans, the bike can be bought out after 12 months of rental.

The buyout is totally optional — you can return the e-bike anytime before the 12 months with no penalties. For pre-owned bikes, there is no down payment. For new e-bikes, there’s a $99 down payment with your first payment. All Weekly plans require a mandatory $99 deposit.

Our Rent-to-Own plans include maintenance for normal wear and tear, with a standard $9.00 service fee applied per service request.

Included labor services:

• Tube replacement for flat tires (tube included)
• Brake adjustments and brake pad replacement
• Gear adjustments
• Seat adjustments
• Front and rear light adjustments
• Wheel adjustments
• Brake oil service
• Tightening and adjustment of nuts and bolts

Included parts:

• Tubes
• Brake pads

All other parts are not included and are charged separately.

In all monthly plans, you can choose either a pre-owned or a new bike.

For pre-owned bikes, there is no down payment. For new e-bikes, a $99 down payment is required with your first payment.

In the personal account, you’ll see pre-owned bikes by default. You can select the new version on the second step.

The Rent-to-Own program is available to riders 18 and older who can provide the required documents: a valid ID and a debit or credit card in your name. Cash or prepaid cards are not accepted. No SSN required.

Proof of address is required if:

• your address is out of state, or
• your ID doesn’t show your current address.

Just return the e-bike to one of our locations within 24 hours of your rental plan expiration, during our working hours. No cancellation fees.

Please return the e-bike, along with all additional equipment and any other items rented from us, to one of our locations within 24 hours after your rental plan ends. Failure to do so within this time frame will result in daily penalties.

Upon return, our representative will inspect the e-bike and additional equipment for damages beyond normal wear and tear.

You can pick up your e-bike at one of our offices in New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Washington, DC, San Francisco and Chicago, or you can opt for door-to-door delivery for $35 in New York and New Jersey.

We offer a Protection Plan for $19 + tax per month as part of your Rent-to-Own subscription. It covers 50% of repair and damage costs, including common issues with brakes, lights, cables, and other standard repairs.

Each repair visit includes a safety diagnostic, and a $9.00 service fee applies.

In case of theft or loss, your maximum liability is capped at $500, as long as the working battery is returned. Intentional damage or negligence is not covered

If your bike gets stolen, contact our customer support right away. They’ll share its location so you can try to find it yourself.

If you’re unable to locate it, we’ll send a recovery team. The fee is $150, or $75 if you have the Protection Plan.

Park your e-bike in any safe spot that doesn’t block people or traffic.Use bike racks whenever possible, remove the battery, and lock your bike — both are included in your plan.

For extra security, avoid leaving your e-bike unattended for long periods, especially overnight.

Your Rent-to-Own plan includes repairs for normal wear and tear, with a standard $4.90 service fee applied per service request.

If you add the Protection Plan, you'll get 50% off eligible repair and damage costs.

For Storm-2 bikes, you can get extra range in several ways: add an extra battery through Rent-to-Own, purchase one separately, use Battery Swapping, or choose the Storm-2 All-in plan, which includes an extra battery. For Thunder bikes, extra range is available through Battery Swapping.

Battery Swapping is available in New York, Washington, DC, and Philadelphia. Storm-2 All-in is available in New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Chicago, and Washington, DC.

You can pay for your Rent-to-Own plan using a credit or debit card issued in your name. We don’t accept cash, checks, or prepaid cards. Please note that your Rent-to-Own plan will renew automatically, and the fee for the next month will be charged if you don’t cancel beforehand.

You can pick up your e-bike at one of our offices in New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Washington, DC, Chicago, and San Francisco.

Door-to-door delivery is available only in New York and New Jersey for $35.

If you own a Whizz e-bike, you can join WhizzCare Membership for $19 per month and receive maintenance and repair services from our most experienced mechanics at our offices in New York. New Jersey, Chicago, Philadelphia, Washington, DC and San Francisco at the lowest possible cost.

Returns are not available for used bikes.

Our used bikes are high-quality refurbished bikes. A refurbished bike is a thoroughly inspected and restored pre-owned bicycle, ensuring reliable performance with a meticulous 30-point checklist.

You can pay using a credit or debit card issued in your name. We don't accept cash, checks, or prepaid cards.

In New York, Battery Swapping is an add-on to your Rent-to-Own plan: $49/month on a monthly plan (Storm-2 or Thunder) or $10/week on a weekly plan (Storm-2). It is billed together with your bike rental.

In Washington, DC and Philadelphia, Battery Swapping is included in every Rent-to-Own plan for Storm-2 and Thunder at no extra cost.

If you own your bike (bought out your Whizz bike or own a Storm-2), Battery Swapping with a rental battery is available for $75/month — you can buy it in your account.

Charging takes 2–3 hours to reach a full level. But you don’t have to wait — just swap and go!

The swapped battery does not need to be returned the same day. You can continue riding and use it safely until your next swap, based on your schedule and riding needs.

Yes, you can — but only using a Whizz-provided charger. For safety and battery health, please do not use third-party chargers.

Yes, absolutely. You can swap your battery as many times as needed, depending on your riding needs. The service is designed to keep you going without interruption.

You’ll find a new "Battery Swapping" section in Whizz personal account or Whizz app. From there, you can locate nearby cabinets and manage your swaps quickly and easily.

All battery swap cabinets are available 24/7, every day, so you can swap your battery whenever it fits your schedule.

No, battery swaps can only be completed at designated cabinet locations. Swapping is not available directly through Whizz shops.

Battery Swapping is currently available for Storm-2 and Thunder bikes. To use the service, you must have an active subscription with Battery Swapping, along with the compatible battery provided at sign-up.

You have 24 hours to return the e-bike once your rental period ends. Failure to do so within this time frame will result in daily penalties.

Yes, you're welcome to return the e-bike before your rent plan period is over. However, please note that we don't offer refunds for any unused days on your plan.
